What does a Lombok diving package cost?

Charters are quoted on request, all-inclusive of crew, private chef and dive guides. The rate depends on the vessel and the season, not on how many of you come. A four-night minimum applies to overnight charters.

When is the best season?

May to October is the dry season: calmest seas and best visibility. Scalloped hammerheads school at Belongas Bay from June to October, most reliably in August and September - which is also when the surface is roughest.

What vessels are available?

A fast boat of 12 to 20 metres with day-use cabins for up to 20 guests; a sailing yacht of 15 to 30 metres with day and overnight cabins for up to 14; and a phinisi of 30 to 45 metres with 5 to 7 cabins for 10 to 14. All are chartered whole.

How do I get to Lombok?

Fly to Lombok International Airport (LOP) at Praya, or cross from Bali by fast boat. We arrange the transfer and you board at Bangsal or Senggigi on the northwest coast.

Which dive sites do the itineraries cover?

The North Gilis (Trawangan, Meno, Air), Sekotong and the Southwest Gilis (Nanggu, Sudak, Kedis, Layar, Asahan, Rengit), Pink Beach in the southeast, and Belongas Bay in the south on longer routes.

Do I need a diving certification?

Open Water covers most of Lombok, and guides adapt to the group. Belongas Bay needs Advanced Open Water and genuine experience in current. Uncertified guests can snorkel every signature site.

Are families welcome?

Yes, and the shallow grounds suit them. Fast boats take up to 20 guests and yachts or phinisi up to 14, so a family group usually has the vessel to itself.

What fees are there beyond the charter?

A marine park and eco fee of about IDR 150,000 per person, paid once and locally. Courses or a scuba review aboard are priced per person. Alcohol and flights are not included.

How long should I go for?

Four nights is the minimum and gives three full diving days. Seven opens the Southwest Gilis properly and puts Belongas Bay within reach in season.
